Bruz: Came home early from work to relax ("early" being a mere 9-5 workday) and cracked this while watching my taped copy of last night's Sopranos. It's got that basic "musty" malt taste. Christopher's new girl is kinda hot... damn... anyway, back to the brew at hand: Many would not like this flavor, but a seasoned malt gangsta like myself thinks it's a decent change from the usual OE/Colt flavor. It's dirtier... ballsier. But yet, not original. I wonder what the friggin' 11-11 means? So Tony's curb doggin' it with Christopher now - passin that wine bottle back n forth, screwin up his rehab. I love to see good old fashioned family bonding in today's society. Tony is an awesome business man. Now, back to the 40: I love me a nice cold 40oz. Ah, but I'm not a fan of watching Christopher fall back into the H... sigh... Yo, I love beer. But Tony's sister is the worst. The lion on this label is pretty cool. Maybe I'll get all the malt liquor animals tattooed on me, next to my Schlitz blue bull - I'll just steal 40oz Crew ImissMy64oz's idea, he won't mind. Speakin of tatts, my new tribal 40 tatt itches. Whoa, Paulie's wiggin out seein the Virgin Mary in Bada Bing! Just ate 3 slices of pizza & a salad (and 1 red spiced jelly bean) and am about to kill the swill. The swill's no prob. Slight heartburn, very minor buzz, and my girl just texted me with "I want u" - I wrote back "Then fucking take me". 6/10 swills. Much thanks out to neufutur for allowing me the opportunity to re-taste this liquor!

211 Swilla: I loved this 40 from 1st sip to last swill. This 40 is almost as good as colt 45 for taste. Yeah, i know thats a bold statement but I stand by it. The buzz is average, but I swilled it on an empty stomach so it hit hard. 7/10 swills - you should definitly try this 40.

AK40seven: Well this stuff is smooth, every bit the way I remembered. It is definitely not a high gravity, but every bit a malt liquor. I'd judge it to be a mid-gravity malt liquor. I once came across the percentage and recall it to be only in the upper 5%, but one of these did give a buzz, although rather slight. It is a smooth drinkable brew which seems to stay cold longer and is good to the last drop. No unpleasantly overpowering flavors at all, almost a premium quality beer like Private Stock. I give it a 9 out of 10 because as my name implies, on a warm day with cold bottles of this, it is easily possible to down 7-40ozs by the end of one mid-summer day.

beam21: I'm chugging away at my first 11-11 40oz and so far I like it quite a bit. Time is 12:30 am and I'm at the top of the label. There was basically zero hiss & crack and the ring came off with the cap--not a great sign--but it tastes pretty damn good. It's heavy-setting brew for how light the flavor is... 12:41 and halfway down the label. Real clean aftertaste, very smooth. Halfway between an Eagle and a Colt 45 double malt, but better than both. I had a couple beers beforehand but there's no discernible buzz at this point... 12:54, the swill is funky and not great but generally inoffensive... 12:57 it's gone, 11-11 is good shit; buzz is nice but light, taste is very consistent. My impression is that 11-11 40s should be consumed slowly in 3's starting at 5:00 in the afternoon. I wish in fact that I had 2 more at this point at 1 am. This is a prime, easygoing malt that I would drink the shit out of if it was locally accessible. Taste: B+, Buzz B-

beerface: It's good to the very last drop. Even the swill tasted good!

Buzzcore: The first thing I noticed about this, was the cool-ass label which depicts an angry lion with possessed red eyes. Maybe his eyes are red from drinking massive amounts of 11-11? Next, I noticed the darker than usual golden hue. As for the brew itself, well it's very carbonated, very malty, and very easy to drink. Sort of like a cross between Colt 45 Double Malt and (a more carbonated) Coqui 900, which are two malts I definitely enjoy. It also gave me a buzz, so I give this a 7/10 and would drink this stuff again, for sure.

DolbyZero: Another tasty malt. This one is very malty, I am one to like that. Gave me a great buzz off of just one. Love the label too. 7 outta 10 swills.

FultonCounty40z: thanks to dolbyzero for this in a trade. i finally got around to drinking it last night. This was an excellent malt. it was crisp with a good taste, reminded me of an ice man. it stayed cold and drinkable throughout. This 40 is somewhat rare, but get ahold of one if possible!!

ImissMy64oz: pretty nice
tastes like an mgd
nice flow and nice label

LMSCRacer: Thanks to 5.0 for the trade here. Suprisingly very malty flavor. Went down quick in my garage while changing oil. Carbonation held all the way to the swill (which was decent enough). Nothing special for buzz factor, just a smooth, easy drinking malt. A nice add overall.

neufutur: When I did a trade to Vile and Beam, I picked up two Black Labels. One leaked a little in my bag so I had to get a third one to send to them, and I got the leaked-out one (it might have leaked like an ounce, nothing big and I got to it quickly). Anyways, I stuck that in the fridge for a few days and let it get nice and chilly. Opened it up, had a vaguely metallic taste to it, but was essentially an inoffensive brew throughout the entire 40. The swill only occurred way late in the 40, and while it was a mite hard to get down, I was left with only the lightest of buzz. Decent taste (if nothing can be called a taste), light buzz factor. Was completely ready to kill another 40 by the end of this one.

pman433: they dont taste as bad as everyone says they do i think thier quite smooth for cheap shit

satan165: this is like iceman to me. both have a general malt taste. both stay cold or seem to have the same taste as the 40 goes on. this might be a lil stronger. maybe i was just ina good mood drinking both of them or whatever it was, i seemed to race thru them, and suddenly looked and the bottle is nearly empty. it wasnt struggle to drink. this seemed to have a weak crack at first and since dolby didnt tape the caps on i was worried it was partially opened and flat. there seemed to be no carbonation but after a few swigs it looked better. even now at the bottom it doesnt taste flat so i guess thats the nature of the malt and it works well for it. the label cant be beat nor can the tradition of the black label name, which has been around much longer then many people would think (i remember seeing black label beer many years ago). the '11-11' even adds another dimension to the label and name as it is like the most unexplained malt # (600,800,900, etc...) ever. god only knows what that means. this shit rules. taste B+ buzz B-

SouthLyon40s: Good crack and good hiss. Props to DetroitFourtyOuncer for lettin me know where to pick this stuff up. And if it were anywhere close to where I lived it would definately be one of my number one picks. At 1.79 it's one of the cheapest around.

First off, the taste isn't anything special. But, to me that's a plus in a fourty. If it's too malty or hoppy (Wild Cat) or has a weird aftertaste I might appreciate the first half, but as it starts getting warm and I start getting sick of it it gets old pretty fast.

Diggin the taste. Like 64 said it's a lot like Iceman. Nothing special. Sort of reminds me of Magnum also... in that it keeps the same taste throughout the entire 40. Unlike Bruz I didn't notice anything "dirty" about the taste. Just sort of bland. No alcoholic burn like High Gravs. No too-sweet taste like Colt 45.

I just really like this 40. Just killed the swill and it was nothing. Kept cold for the most part. ...Only downfall is the label. Kind of boring. Having a name like Black Label I'd expect something a bit more intimidating. And what's with the lion? Looks like some High School Mascot. (South Lyon Lions... I think it might actually be the same design)

But regardless. Delicious. If I ever see it again I'll buy it instantly.

Tiger Tai: Copped this one in a trade with Pman. I drank 2 of em an smoked some herb and was feeling nice, ya know.... good taste, below average buzz factor, however it seemed to give me superpowers while playin' checkers, I mean I was kickin' ass... I'd give 11-11 6 of 10 Swills...
