Bruz: Cyclone was a kinda unique find in Canada, mostly because it's a small mouth, whereas those wacky canadians seem to drink nothing but wide mouths... also, it was pretty tough to find - I only saw it in one small "tabagie" out of the dozens I searched. Anyway, it starts out tasting not bad; moreover, it tastes rather unique... not like your typical "strong beer". It reminds me initially of Private Stock. But as you go on & it gets warmer, it gets considerably worse too. Yeah, the swill tastes pretty bad there, hoss. But at 7.2% thats understandable, and it did yield a small buzz... which leads me to give it an overall rating of 6/10 swills.

Taste: pretty damn good considering this should have expired back in '07. Tastes sort of like Bowes Double Dry without the cloying stickiness. Hard to put my finger on it. It's definitely got a bit of skunk going on but for the most part the carbonation (in this bottle at least) has held up and it's nice and fizzy and the Cyclone yields wind. Cyclone does not have an HG taste at all and doesn't taste like the typical ~7% range that we are familiar with thanks to Labatt Bleue and Molson Dry. I finished my first ever Cyclone in about 30-40 minutes and feel quite buzzed. I raved about Bowes Double Dry; it's unique, it's cheap, it's tasty. Cyclone destroys DD with a force like Katrina. Shit tastes WAY better than Bowes even 3 years over the due date. I even spotted a bit of cloudy sediment at which I was not perturbed but visibly amused.

Logo is both great and sucks at the same time. We have a silvery blue whirlpool of stuff going on in the background with CYCLONE in the middle in big block lettering with a flaming outline. Cool logo, bro.

8/10

LMSCRacer: A big thanks to Sippin Apache for this 40. I expected it to be a slightly weaker Cyclone Power, but was wrong. The taste was quite different. It reminded me a little of Country Club. Started out real smooth, but got a little rougher down near the swill. Decent enough buzz factor which you'd expect in a 7.2. Given a choice, I'd take a 8.5 Cyclone Power, but would certainly not turn one of these down. I give it 7/10 swills.
