Bruz: The maker's of Dakota Kick must be working with a low budget, because this label is not pasted on well (it's bubbly/loose), there are random globs of glue on the glass, and the cap would NOT come off - I had to crack open this 40 using scissors for help (disclaimer: kids, don't try this at home)! And once I got it off, the cap was not able to screw back on, it was just a loose top! Anyway, the initial taste is like a mellow St. Ides - probably what St. Ides would taste like if it were only 6% alcohol (which this is). This is VERY fizzy/highly carbonated malt. Drinking this with a sore throat, hopefully it helps numb the pain. Wharfin some Rold Gold Honey Wheat Braided Twists pretzels dipped in WisPride cheddar port wine. Drank the last half while walking with my buddy Ford 2 miles (2 laps) around the lake I live by, unconcealed, in public. Had to take a pitstop to pee by the lake once. No real buzz & peed again right after we finished our "exercise". It was good, the swill was fine, nice & cheaply made, but kinda gay label. Overall a solid 6/10 swills... coulda been a 7 if the label were better... but maybe a crappy label is better when it comes to true low budget 40s? Much props out to Cameron South & Mark Zambon for the hookup on this one!

Alvin Karpis: First off a big shout out to Floridas #1 Malt dealer 5.0 for the hook up. Swilled off of SanJose40drinkers bottle and got mine fridge ready. These 40s that we got from 5.0 were very skunked, but we knew that they were when 5.0 warned us. The aftertaste was horrid, just skunky as hell. Evey pull that I took all I could think about was the 3 years or so that this 40 has been sitting in 5.0s sweltering garage in Florida. I could tell however that this 40 would have had a good taste when its fresh. Taste 1/10 swills Buzz ? Drank way to much to give a rating off of this 40, also it was SanJose's so his review on the buzz will be accurate. Over all 5/10 for drinking a true rare 40 that not many people can claim to have swilled.

MarkBlackout: Thanks to MyLiverHurts for this one. This was a good fucking 40! A tad on the sweet side, but really didn't have any off flavors or anything to put me off pounding it down to the foam. It had been awhile since I had a new 40 and was glad to drink this one. Once it gets warm you realize why its less than a dollar fifty, but if I could get this shit around here I'd buy it over Ice Man everytime. Label is hilariously horrible. 8 out of 10 swills.

satan165: just cracked this

i expected a horrible crack, not so. actually it was super hard to open but had a full ring detach. good sign.

it tastes sweet, but not like shitty malt liquor sweetness that coats your mouth and makes you want to gag. tastes like maybe....rolling rock? that kind of decent microbrew sweetness (tho in honesty rolling rock isnt even really that 'decent').

the label and 6% made me think of something bad: classic ice. this is nothing like it however. this is very crisp. and malt liquor is usually not 'crisp'. at all. ive got it cold as fuck, it was in the fridge for days and spent its last 30 min. in teh freezer. i got this, a lite ice and city club all at once, and it was a no brainer to save this for last. but in fact its more fun to drink then the city club, and i love bad beers, and looked forward to that bad beer in particular (it was actually a disappointment, but thats irrlevant, and it may have been past its prime as an excuse).

ill post more as i dirnk this, i cant believe how crisp and well developed the taste is. no doubt labels like 'malt liquor' dont mean much, but ive never drank a malt liquor like this, and never this good tasting i dont think! king cobra tastes pretty good, but it still tastes like a malt, this doesnt , and in a good way! and at 6% its ahead of most mainstream malts (excluding HGs of course)

this is definately the malt liquor version of rolling rock. its enjoyable in teh ways that make real rolling rock not enjoyable. i dig this stuff!
