Reviews:

Bruz: I received this empty, thanks to Dukesplace who brought it back from his vacation to Tulum, Mexico!

12/3/10 havinafett: Thanks to BigJ for this bottle.
guess this is the other bottle he mentioned he got in his review.
his review pretty much sums up what I thought about this 40.
nothing to complain about, average mexican beer
reminded me of sol and modelo.
I'm drinking this knowing in a few minutes I'm going to ride my bike to a bar and its freezing outside.
the right time for this beer is on a hot summer day relaxing or right after sweating your ass off doing yard work or something.

Very cool bottle though, glad to have it.

5/10

11/13/10 BigJandthe40: I got this from my sisters husband, he too works with tons of Mexicans and told one of his guys to grab and 40ozs he saw. He brought me back 2 of these. I drank this at my sister house sunday watching football, it has a pop top so no crack. Very smooth crisp taste, taste like any other Mexican beer, should have been alot better if I drank this outside during summer, not inside on a cold sunday watching football. Its was ok, just got be bloated and produced no buzz. It made me sleepy and couldnt wait to get into the Jack and Coke after.

I still think its a cool bottle and cool screen printed label. I would say its a 4 out of 10 overall and offers no hangover so thats a good thing

1/09/09 91firebird: Had a chance to swill a Mexican 40 for the 1st time. My buddy went down to Mexico for Christmas and grabbed me this Estrella. Mexican 40's have a standard bottle cap that 12oz bottles have. Clear bottle, so I was thinking this might be skunked. This was purchased in the state of Nayarit Mexico which is like an 18hr drive from San Antonio Texas. Tastes like any other Mexican beer, it's pretty weak. It's only 4% ABV so it packs no punch whatsoever. Tastes similar to Sol or Tecate. No carbonation so this goes down pretty smooth. Overall this is ok it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either lol. I'm sure there are alot of better choices in Mexico but I had to settle with what my friend bought me. Bottle is cool as shit though and is definately a solid addition to my collection. 7/10 overall. Buzz factor 2/10. Coolness 9/10.
