Bruz: I was really thristin, which is probably why I'm raising my review from the previous 5/10 to 7/10 stars... but regardless, I swilled this down fast & with pleasure. It was very basic, clean, & easy flowin' the whole way down. A great refreshment beer for those hot summer days! No buzz (low alcohol content) can't really allow this 40 any higher of a rating. Thanks out to neufutur for the new label!

3/2/10 40zForSatan: Finally got my hands on a genessee, and I'm real happy about it. What an outsanding bad beer, I loved it. It was late saturday night after about 1 hours at the bar, we were watching some godzilla movies and eating stuffed crust pizza hut meat lovers pizza. Started the 4 at about 11pm and ended up finishing around 1am and the swill was still legit, no degradation of taste whatsoever. I had only grabbed 1 pint while I was at the bar so my taste was not hindered, this really is a prime example of a top notch bad beer and I would probably grab these all the time if it was available in my area.

TASTE: 7/10
SWILL: 7/10
LABEL: 6/10
BUZZ: 5/10
OVERALL: 6/10

40ozAllStar: Pretty decent. Cheap enough beer 40, and a halfway good buzz too. Has kind of a "nasty bar" smell to it, but that kinda gives it a little bit extra for me. If all you can get are beer 40s, this a good pick.

Drinking a brown-bottle 40 of bad-beer actually is pretty cool, I feel totally old-school.
I'm going to end the review here as it's warm and will taste the same way all the way down (basic, bland, blah).

FultonCounty40z: yet another bad beer 40. since i drank the laser before, i didn't exactly have a clean pallette to review this, but whatever...a decent beer 40.

LMSCRacer: Ironically, I found this 40 based on a tip from MyLiverHurts in NE OH. I could not find it in the city where it is brewed (Rochester, NY - my home town!).

A while back, I made a suggestion to consider Genesee "Bad Beer" and was somewhat rebuffed by Satan165. I vowed to revisit the issue on my next visit to upstate NY. After knocking back this 40 - I am glad. Genesee is not "Bad Beer," especially considering the 1.29 price tag!

The hiss was decent enough. The flavor was very light, in no way offensive. Almost devoid of hoppiness (hence the very light flavor). A decent carbonation level. Even the swill went down easy. Not much of a buzz factor, but that's ok.

Objectively, I can not rate this much over 5/10 since it is nothing special, but it is certainly not "bad."

MyLiverHurts: This is good beer. I’d drink it again.

Great classic hiss. Weak no ring cap so no crack.
Medium carbonation, tastes like water with a hint of beer. Would probably be ok if I'd sipp it while mowing the lawn on a hot summer day, but does nothing for me on a cold late fall night.
Equivalent of a Canadian lite whatever, bud or miller
4/10 like the Ice version, but buzz factor is absent. Good but nothing special. Another great addition to the collection.
