Bruz: This 40oz is no longer produced, but when it was it could only be found primarily in WA & OR. When the 40oz Crew began there was noone from that region & I couldn't wait for someone to join from there so that I may be able to get my hands on this. Eventually "IMT40s" joined & was able to settle my nerves, finally allowing me to drink this exclusive brew. Upon first gulp, the first thought that crossed my mind was "Magnum"... which you may know is not saying much. However, upon further swilling I grew to enjoy it. Not nearly as bad as Magnum, yet not nearly as good as some other 40s, Hurricane Ice has kinda the flavor of a "good Magnum" (if you can imagine such a thing) yet with what seems like very little carbonation/kick (ie, kinda flat). At 7.5% this 40 is no lightweight & yields a very slight buzz but not as much as the % may seem to show. Pretty easy going down, not much of a "having to pee" factor (only once did I go while drinking), & the very slight intoxication earn this 40 an overall rating of 6/10 swills. Also much thanks to "orentha" for 1 of the variants! |

Buzzcore: Got this in a trade from fellow board member Orentha and WOW!!! This is the best 7+% malt I've tasted so far. A-B should definitely go nationwide with this brew! Tastes just like Hurricane/King Cobra............maybe even better? Not much carbonation, but halfway through the bottle and I'm already buzzin' pretty good. And the best part is that I can't even taste the added alcohol content! They weren't kidding with the "Brace for the Smooth Taste" slogan. This brew is as smooth as Carmen Electra's ass after an electrolysis session! I would be drinkin' this on the reg, if it was available in my 'hood. Great, great stuff............and dammit, I WANT MORE!!! 9/10 |

DC40s: Not many of these around anymore... Thanks to Orentha for the hook up. He said this 40 was getting chunky, but I don't think so. Looks clear as hell to me. This 40 tastes just like regular Hurricane/King Cobra. Anheuser-Busch made a terrible, terrible decision to discontinue this 40. In fact, they made a horrible decision not to take this beauty national. The buzz factor seems pretty good (although I have not eaten anything today, so that skews things). I have no idea why Anheuser-Busch killed this 40. If I could get this locally, I'd drink it all the time. |

FultonCounty40z: First of all, it was a privilege to drink this 40, seeing that it isn't available anymore. Big thanks to Orentha for the trade on this one. I took it with me on a flight to Phoenix, threw it in my friend's freezer as soon as i got there. i was amazed by the loud hiss for as old as the beer was (born on date august 03). Overall though, there was a very sharp taste, which I like in ice malts/beers. It seemed stronger than 7.5%, cause it got me buzzin real quick. The taste really fell off though as I got to the end. The cool graphics on the label, and its rareness factor make it an awesome 40! |

ImissMy64oz: cracked the hurricane ice

wouldnt be a choice drink but would be on occasion |

IMT40s: Hurricane Ice has used the moniker "brace for the smooth taste" since it's birth. Well I will say it is does have a very smooth taste, almost like there isn't any carbonation. I like my 40's with a kick. ![]() |

John Holmes: First gulp was refreshing... lacking the harsh taste of a lot of HG beers (which this isn't, but I was expecting). The brew proved smooth all the way through... complete with a decent bearable swill taste. I personally loved this malt and would drink the fuck out of it if it were available near me. Gave me a nice round buzz.... I give it 9/10. |

kingklick420: what can i say about the 'cane...good smooth flavor, a little weak compared to 211, decent buzz, but a bad headache(as with black 211)....cracked one a minute ago, easy to swallow, easy to hold down, no bad aftertaste but it isn't a big bear(which i would have bought had the cornerstore not been out damn monday night partiers) i'd give H Ice a 6 out of 10 |

White Mike: I was scared to drink this at first because the born on date said 8/03 and it was 2/04. But this 40 wasn't skunked and tasted great. Malt's with an alc content in the 7% range are always the best. A hint of the sweetness that often goes with HG 40's but not enough to overpower it. It had a little bit of the taste of the original hurricane but a little more fuller. Definitely went down smooth to the bottom and provided a nice buzz. If this stuff is truly off the market than RIP to the hurricane ice, you were a good malt. |
