Bruz: This imported version of Canada's Labatt "Bleue" tasted pretty decent at first... a nice classic canadian brewski. Around the midway point, however, there's a darker dirtier taste, kinda like tree bark. Bottom third has a fuzzy taste, if that makes any sense - and quite frankly I don't care if it doesn't cuz this is my review not yours, so there. Swill was swilly & no buzz. At least I won $100 in my office's NCAA basketball pool. 5/10 swills. Thanks out to ThUgWiGGa & pman433 for a couple of these! |

8/28/10 JoeWebberlione: Picked this badboy up on my trip to Rochester/Hamlin NY last month. Always wanted to try it in the 40 so here we go. Cap came off rather easy ring didn't break off same problem I always have with Gennesse ice 40s (but that's besides the point). Tasty brew I've always enjoyed this one. Like old Milwaukee without the bad wrap that comes with it. Smooth as hell I can see why its so popular Makes me anticipate trying some of the stronger ones compliments of Sippinapache. If your ever in the upstate New York area or wherever else they sell this stuff give it a try. The buzz factor ain't too shabby either 7 out of 10 swills! |

5/26/09 BWill40s: This widemouth 40oz was nothing more then reg beer taste. I am thankful for the new bottle in my collection but this is a normal %5 beer 40. Goes down very smooth and is a nice 40oz if you have about 3 40's of Labatt you should be having nice buzz. If I give this a rating it has to be 6-10 A very good beer 40 but nothing great. Reminds me of A@B products so that I give it a 6-10. Nice bottle for collection thoe. |

7/28/08 White Mike: I had one for the first time in about maybe 5 or 6 years during my trip up state NY with JH Not a bad 40, not a malt tho. Tastes good, goes down smooth, doesn't have much punch or kick to it. Labatt was one of the first 4's from outside my area that I added to my collection back in the day. I stupid whore I used to call my girlfriend went to school upstate and brought it home for me. Thank the 40 gods I got to sip this under better days. |

Buzzcore: I kinda' like this stuff. Light, crisp, tasty. I've never tried slugging a few of 'em down though. It's a pilsener beer, not a malt liquor, but it's still 5% which isn't much less than C-45, or most of the other 'favorite' malts. Two of those 25.4 oz oil cans usually do the trick. 6/10 overall. |

neufutur: Labatt Blue is a pretty normal type of beer. There is not much flavor to it, and the beer slides down the bottle easily. There is little, if anything, in the way of swill with this 40, no matter how warm it may be. The taste is good, but there is incredibly little in the way of a buzz. I'm going to be doing more zine stuff tonight, and I stuck another 40 in the fridge just so I could start feeling anything. It is good tasting if you just want a 40 that does that for you, but for a buzz, there is little effect. 8 on the taste, 2 on the buzz (nowhere near as pitiful as Schaefer's (beer) 40 was). |

satan165: canadians have so much more of a refined pallete....this is proof. first of all, i have drank labatt blue and labbat blue light MANY times. often i can get the 12 packs on sale. i know its considered piss up north, and i understand why. however, when you compare it to equal fare in the states (miller lite, bud light) you can see how much more full flavored and full bodied labatt products are. why? becuase they like their malts and brews stronger up north, they are 'better' and smarter drinkers. this is the 1st time im drinking a 40 of the stuff, big shot to double J who copped the bitch in michigan. it tastes like gold. makes me reminice back to teh days when i thought widemouth 40s were hard to drink. even now, MAYBE a harsh malt might be rough out of it but this is sweet as fuck. i love an ice cold beer widemouth 40. this is prime example of that! nice and fizzy as far as mouth feel. i worked hard today and tonite it my night to go the bar and drink brews and eat grease. i try to pregame to save loot, today i did. i got off of work and housed a becks 22 waiting for the train. now im ripping this down as fast as i can to get to the bar a lil earlier cause i always tend to waste too much time. im pregamed to say the least, i feel real buzzed off the combo of nice beers i consumed today. it was over 90 all day today, i was feeling a lil faded when i got home cause i smoked some dope earlier in the day but i took a cold shower and i feel energized but half drink now. about to embark on a long walk after the last few swigs and rip some $2 miller lites then house some nice food. all in all, this labatt is fucing perfect for the set and setting of today and i enjoy it. thanks douibleJ, great 40 , tasty and a nice additoin to the collection |

troobie: Everytime I get Labatt Blue in a bottle, it tastes like shit, like it has gone bad. Then I buy it in the 25.3 oz. "BIG Blue" cans and it is really good. Seriously, everytime. Anyways, when I get a batch of this that tastes right I really like it. Real light with some caramel in there. Easy to drink this fast. If this were an American beer and was going up against Milcoorweiser, it would easily be the best. Unfortunately, since it is "imported" from Southern Canada they feel they can jack up the price. Super overpriced. At 5.0% not really much of a buzz, but enough that you can feel it. I'm going to go 6/10, high on taste but low on buzz. If you've never had this give it a try. |
