Bruz: Cracked this 40 at 11:45am, after church, on Christmas morning (2005). That's how malt gangstas celebrate the birth of the Lord. Crisp taste, very good 7.1% beer flavor. This brew goes well with snacking (cheese, pepperoni, crackers, herring, olives, shrimp, etc, etc) & opening presents. The swill kinda sucks but the buzz is alright. got this from my girlfriend while she was vacation in lovely canada.

my crack sucked. the 'ring' came off with the cap and i was nervous because they were cold, then warmed, now re-chilled when i got it. luckily it tasted great. excellent carbonation, and a very very mild flavor through the entire 4. i ripped through this bad boy quick, so it stayed pretty cold and the swill was non-existant. just a delicious 40 from start to finish. i would give this 'strong beer' (7.1%) a 9 out of 10. i only wish i could get this at my local spot. it might be the last one i have for a long time, which is too bad.

6/24/09 LMSCRacer: Picked up this 1.18 l (40 lol) at the Beer Store on Garrison Road in Fort Erie, ON while on vacation. This is damn near a perfect 40. 7.1% ABV and a very smooth taste. Great malt flavor and good carbonation and no hint of the high ABV. Smooth right through the swill. If you can get to Canada swill one of these! 9/10 Swills.

3/25/09 morcz: This is a classic 40, retarded label but a very good brew. It goes insanely smooth, and a great buzz factor. If you can get this 40, i recommend you drink it. Good buzz factor, great taste, i give this 8/10 swills.

11/11/08 d07c0m: The only other people I ever see buying 40s at The Beer Store in Ontario are crusty bums. They always go for either Maximum Ice 7.1% or Black Ice 6.1% both of which are more expensive and slightly weaker in ABV than Olde E 8% which is available at the same goddamn store. I once even saw some fucked up stinky bum return a crate full of at least 10 empty Max Ice bottles (I scanned them briefly for label changes but alas).

As for drinking, this brew is similar to Labatt Bleue Dry 7.1% and goes down relatively smooth when served cold. The label is pretty bland and lacks colour. One redeeming quality that this 40 has is its remarkable buzzability. Even after an 8% Colt and some 24s of Old Mil this is kicking my ass.

copkillerkeith: Last night I relized that 3 40oz's of max ice will fuck you up bad. shit, its 8:15pm and I am still hung over.

DPX: I thought the initial taste was a little better than Big Bear. Tasted like Pilsner (Molson), but watered down. Taste wasn't bad, and I kind of rushed through the bottle (I had other shit to drink, and smoke). The swill was not bad at all, of course it didnt taste good, but it didn't taste bad at all. Wide mouth is starting to become my preference, but the brown bottle kinda bothers me. I like to be able to see how much I have left. The buzz factor wasn't bad. I feel great, I feel like loving things, but of course I'm not drunk. Well, I recommend this 40 to anyone who is uber cool. Made me piss only twice, but I had to piss pretty badly. Overall, about 8 out of 10 swills.

RickCarling: Terrible. Absolutely Terrible. worst flavor ive ever tasted in a beer. Its waaay too bitter. But not bitter with the taste of hops, which taste good, but the taste of chewed aspirin. I will never drink this again by my own will. 2/10 only because im feeling generous

sippin apache: Not that this 40 wasnt available to me before, swilled it before, many times. Except after a very deceiving trip to Ontario 40 wise, see the forum. Anyways, grabbed a few of these cuz its basically the only 40 material that's interesting there today.

Chilled a couple of these when I got home for the evening. Cracked one after supper and had an loud crack, and an actual ring on the cap, killed a second one a lil after. Brew is smoooooth as hell(btw ima a colt 45 fan which is kinda rough) so this is a smooth brew but the 7.1 packed in there is efficient. Very efficient. Only is the thick big brown heavy 40

8.5/10 for such a smooth taste/after taste and high buzz factor. This 40 is probably underated by the people who dont use it regularly, like I.

ThUgWiGGa: Copped this 40 for satan, i already have the bottle, but i havent drank it before. (Just remembered that i DID actually have this before, i wonder if it was as bad?) I brought it to a party and it was madd cold when i took the first sip. The first bitter horrible aftertaste sip. It did get better, but it is not a very tasty brew. It had a way nastier taste than CBL supreme (if i remember correctly) and CBL Supreme has .9% on this bitch. I wouldnt mind pourin out alot for my homies with this bitch. 4/10 for the alright buzz.

uk82chaospunk: thanx to Mike (YPMO) for buying this sucker for me when we met up in toronto...when i tried it out of a can, it was pretty damn good, when i drank the 40, my first thought was this shit tastes like some strong version of old milwaukee...it had an interesting taste though, so its not like i didnt enjoy it that much, got a decent buzz and the swill was decent too...7 out of 10 swills
