Bruz: Awesome awesome label. The taste is your basic malt liquor taste. Easy, smooth, & nothing to complain about. I love the look of this bottle though, for real... I want to play Atari 2600 & go skating on disco night at the roller rink when I drink it! If I could get it easily, I'd rep it constantly. 8/10 swills (but the label gets 10/10, props to Tim Sauders who designed it!)

Crisp label, nice crack, great first swill.

Perfect street malt, a bit dirty, simple malt taste, nice easy dranking.

Beer was consistent throughout, enjoyed very much.

Not too strong but I just drove for 8 hours straight so I got hella buzzed.

10/7/09 sleazye: Huge thanks to boston40hunter for the hook up on this 40 that I have waiting to try ever since I joined the forum. I am happy as hell to have finally gotten the chance to try it! First things that come to mind when looking at the label is Nintendo and 80's thrash metal and laser tag at your local roller rink.

The crack was pretty good and the hiss was kind of loud. The taste was very, very dirty that kind of reminded me of Coqui 900 or Silver Thunder. I like that a lot. Even with that said, for the most part the taste left a little bit to be desired. Aside from that, I was still happy with this 40 oz.

Taste: 7/10
Swill: 5.5/10
Label: 10/10
Buzz: 6/10

9/21/09 40zForSatan: Laser has been my number 1 sought after 40 since I started collecting, the label and name are both simply amazing. I finally got the hookup on this from boston40hunter and I couldn't be happier. I was already experiencing a nice buzz before I decided to crack this bad boy but I definitely needed more, plus I was watching horror movies with this amazing dime piece and she was working on 22s of mickeys and I figured that I should drink as well. I cracked it and it wasn't anything fierce but it was still a pretty good crack, his wasn't anything special. I took my first swill and did not get what I expected, sure it had the basic malt taste but I also caught a hint of fruit as well. I had my guest take a swig as well and she also tasted the same thing, this was not a bad thing, just not what I expected. I think this malt is great and I would swill it daily if I could.

TASTE: 7/10
SWILL: 6/10

BUZZ: 6/10
OVERALL: 8/10

9/12/09 91firebird: Ah, the almighty Laser....... First off many thanks to boston40hunter for the hookup on this elusive 40 I've wanted to taste ever since I joined the board a couple years ago. The crack was nice and it did have a full ring detatch. Laser is a malt I've wanted for so long and now on to the review. I took a huge pull to expericence the full flavor of this brew. I have to tell you crew I am very very impressed. This shit is smooth. Silver Thunder would be my go to malt but this is very similar. I like this alot. This Laser had that dirty malt taste you get with a Silver Thunder or a Country Club but this is better in some ways. I wanted to take my time with this but its so good and its so easy to swill. I killed it in 15 minutes and I should have rocked a vid for MLTV but I wanted to experience the full flavor of this malt. This has a subtle taste like Hurricane but you know when you see the label and the cap that this is the Highest Quality brew. What a malt, this is totally awesome, 10/10 all the way. If Laser was sold in these parts it would be swilled everyday. Awesome Awesome Awesome........... This is a 40 that has 80's written all over it. The label is top notch and reminds me of the good ol days when malts were good and cheap. I love the Laser and I hope this sticks around for years to come. Had to rock the old school Cards gear to keep with the 80's theme.

6/8/09 maltliquorswigga: This 40, was pure nostalgia for me, being that Laser was the first 40 I ever drank, when I was 12 years old. This 40 was found at Tom's Diner and 6 pack shop in the Brookline Section of Pittsburgh,Pa.

The Date Code was 08199 (Aug 19,2009) So this shit was fresh. Nice Crack, decent hiss. Kinda tasted like St Ides a little bit without the Funk taste, This was definitely a good 40 that I'd rip all the time, if I didnt have to drive an hour to get it. Love the Label, 4 sure. I'll have to make a trip once a month or once every 2 months to go pick up some Laser, cuz I was definitely feeling this Malt. Buzz wasnt that strong, didnt buzz me off 1 40 like an OE 5.9 40 would, but started my night off good, swilled 2 Mickeys grenades after this. But all in all a solid malt 4 sure, I will definitely rip some Laser 40's again. This was the cheapest 40 at the spot $2.25(which isnt very cheap compared to what Id pay in town or over the state line, but everything in Pittsburgh is more expensive than it is here in New Castle and over in Ohio, If I got this in Ohio it would've cost like $1.49-$1.99. Too bad I cant find it over in Ohio or in town(havent seen it around me since 1996. Rating...... Taste 7/10 Buzz 5.5/10 Swill 8/10( swill didnt taste flat at all.) Overall 8/10 Swills... A solid Malt 40.

10/8/08 High Gravity: Got a 40 of Laser across the street from my apt. Cool label in an early 80's tacky-cheesy kind of way that Bruz hinted at with roller skating and such .
Yeah, I get the same vibe with the label . In any case, a decent ML overall ... smooth enough without the bitter caustic bite of some lesser MLs ...
I *was* going to get a 40 of Evil Eye(10%) but would have had to go across town to get it ... i'll get a few of those next time i'm over in that part of town (Pittsburgh) . A decent buzz so far , 5 minutes into sipping it ... not much smell but that's ok ...i'm more about taste>>>buzz factor with any ML or beer or wine for that matter ... 8/10 swillz .

Alvin Karpis: First off a big shout out to my Ohio hookup Neufutur. No real crack or hiss. First taste was pretty weak almost like Miller High Life with a slight malt liquor aftertaste. Easy to drink and the taste is not that bad at all. Mid way down the label and no buzz or even a head change to speak of. Pretty boring the only thing that excites me is the kick ass 80s logo. Finished it off the swill was good and still cold. Very small buzz. Taste 7/10 Buzz 2/10 Overall 5/10 Thanks Neufutur

beerface: What a terrible tasting malt liquor. At first has a good wheaty taste but it's too strong, which leaves a burning aftertaste which makes it pretty horrible. The warmer it gets the shittier, but that's common with malt liquors. But hey, beggers can't be choosers. Rating is 5 outta 10 stars. Tastes really bad, barely got me drunk, but produced some really good beefs outta me like that last one that smells like shit.

Buzzcore: Surprisingly good stuff. A very 'traditional' tasting beverage, it reminded me of Country Club and Silver Thunder, which are two of my lower priced faves. It's hard to find in some areas, and as common as Colt 45 in others. Decent buzz and the best fuckin' label in the biz............. and at $1.29 you can't go wrong! 8/10

dollazz: copped this shit out in Harlem on Saturday on my minihunt i took cuz i was bored. crack and hiss were prime, dont smell so good, but first sip is pretty good, nice and cold. shit has a mild aftertaste, but no big deal, cuz its not a terrible aftertaste. swill is same as the rest, not bad, not great, barely good. this 40 is def subpar, not something i'd be big on drinking regularly. but the label is cool as hell, so fuck it 5/10 swills.

Fat John: I've found this shit in toledo,ohio and detroit,michigan.The cheapest 40 i've ever bought.Copped it for a $1.30 american.I wish they sold this shit up here cuz i'd drink the shit out of it.Slammed this fucker before a big date to take the edge off.Shit taste real good and goes down smooth.pretty decent buzz from it.swill was nasty as usual but overall its a bad ass malt in my opinion.I'm hitting this muthafucka up with a rating of 8 outta 10 fuck piles.

FultonCounty40z: average malt, no complaints, yet nothing to hype up...it took the edge off a long week. good malt for hanging out, playing xbox live. the disco style label is a great added touch.

ImissMy64oz: laser is some bomb ass motherfucking brew, sipping it makes me feel like i am a super hero from the late 70s. laser reminds me of iceman and county club. same level malt. low level and obscure it is also awesome too. laser is 8/10

This stuff kind of reminds me of Colt 45 only tasting a bit stronger, more of a kick. MarkBlackout: many thanks to satan for the hook up on this 40. laser is definitely one i've wanted to try badly ever since finding this site. this specialty malt liquor has a more unique taste than i expected. slightly sharp, but pretty well rounded and tasty. way, way better than ice man (also specialty brewing co. i believe)! i give this 7 out of 10 swills.

neufutur: Great logo, I think it's the coolest that I've seen in a 40 yet. I chilled it out since I picked up over in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and broke it out while watching some old wrestling. There was virtually nothing in the way of the taste; even a major gulp of the 40 really only brought a strength of taste that was similar to a typical cheap beer (MBI). No swill to speak of, but no buzz came with killing this 40. An individual could easily go through 2-3 of these without a problem in a night; individuals might want to go elsewhere for a beer taste.

RickCarling: First, let me send a thank you to floridas 40 oz malt dealer, 5.0, for the hookup on this 40. I just cracked it now, and its ice cold. The taste is very much like the other american malt ive tried, Red Bull, in my estimation. Although i cannot make that call fully because i had the red bull a while back. Still, good flavor. The label on this 40 is easily my favorite of all time, simply because it looks so 70s-80s. This 40 is giving me the munchies like crazy, i just made 2 burritos to appease my hunger, Man are they good. OK done those now, back to the 40. This 40 is bomb, great taste, chugablity, and label. 10/10 Swillerinos.

satan165: this was like the cat: a funky dirty malt. this is not very good. iceman i remembered as better but i keep telling myself that it should be the same as laser. (i have the same problem regarding my recollections of wildcat/the cat). i had a bad mind set going into this. i knew i wasnt going to like it so it was self fufilling profeicy. taste D+ buzz C-

When I got this 40 I was anxious to try it, clear small mouth 40. Finally did last night. The crack and hiss were dissapointing and got me thinking and doubting as I had high expectations for this 40. Cool bottle, truely ghetto label, definite must have for the collection.

The 40 had been in the freezer for a good 30 minutes, tasted mild, very crisp. Had it rapidly to the top of the label to finally taste it really. Good malt althoug, in Canada, this taste would be referred to as a dry lager, not A SPECIALTY MALT LIQUOR.

Went down very smooth all the way through, no change of taste as it got warmer, not that gave it a chance really

Good taste, nice carbonation although the hiss was absent, the type of 40 id get on the reg, buzz factor was alright considering its a US malt and 5.9%. 9/10 swills.

White Mike: Well first off, thanks to dolby for sending me this. It was a trade months in the working. I didn't have to work today so I it was the perfect opportunity for some early afternoon swillin.

First sip tasted like an ordinary malt liquor. Unfortunately so did all the sips. Nothing stands out as bad about this malt but nothing stands out as good. A very boring run of the mill typical tasting 40. But I guess thats not so bad because that mean decent buzz, decent swill and decent chugablity. Don't avoid this 40 but don't go out of your way to get it. As far as a collectors item I loved this 40. The label looked like a relic from the 80's and will make a nice addition to the collection.
