Reviews:

Bruz: Popped it in the freezer for about 2 hours since it was warm. Good crack & decent hiss. My mouth was watering for this, having not had it in about 3 years & having recently heard a lot of hype about it! This was a very good "green 40" (ale). I'll admit I took my damn sweet time with it, but only cuz I was trying to hit my 10,000th post in the 40oz Crew forum so my concentration was elsewhere. I kinda feel buzzed too, even though I took so long & it's only 5.5% alcohol, but I'm pretty sure that's because I'm so freakin tired. It's time to call it a night no doubt. Anyway, my original review gave it a mediocre rating, but I think I was saggin then or something cuz this time around it tasted much better. Great taste, ok buzz for a weak malt (or maybe it's lack of sleep?), & made me pee only once during consumption... whatever that's supposed to indicate I don't know, but it somehow became a part of my reviewing process. If I could get this on the reg I'd definitely drink it more often! Overall 8/10 swills for being mighty tasty & having a very easy going & tolerable swill! Much thanks to "40 Ounce Legend" & MyLiverHurts for 2 of these variants!

BrewNovice40: The first time I tried Little Kings, I thought it was terrible. However, I tried it again tonight (Friday, Oct. 17) and it was better than the last time, but not by much. That got me to thinkin' maybe the first time around I had one that was skunked. I don't know. I never bothered to looked at the date on the bottle. Maybe I should start doin' that. Nevertheless, it was iight this time around.

brooks79Z: this has to nbe my 2nd favorite 40 now. An awesome smooth taste that has no harsh swill whatsoever I think im in love

Buzzcore: The label and bottle look real cool, but this stuff made me and my girl gag. Smelled kind of fruity, and I thought it was gonna' be a decent brew, but it's got a nasty bite-back. It actually goes down smooth, but you gotta' stop drinking at some point, and it's at that point that you wish you didn't. The aftertaste is akin to licking King Kong's balls after he got all sweaty. Zenn said it wasn't that bad though, which is weird because he's usually way more picky about brews than I am. It also proves he doesn't know what he's talking about. At only 5.5%, it needs more punch too. The only thing keeping this from getting 1/10 is the fact that there are quite a few brews that taste way worse than this stuff............ and what the hell is a "cream ale" anyway? 2/10

hg8point2: had my first little kings last week, although it was pretty bitter i did like the full flavor of it.maybe it's just me but for a 5.5 it had a decent buzz factor.the swill is well swill but i did like the bottle.all in all it's just mediocre at best and gets a 5.

HighGrav1ty: This is indeed a very creamy ale. Not very strong in alcohol content, but it's the cheapest 40 I've seen. This stuff is so thick, it's hard to choke down. The taste isn't terrible though. Reminds me of A&W and mouthwash. I played power hour with a couple of these one night. Ended up puking my ass off halfway through, only to go back inside and finish up. That's the last time I drank LK. If you've never had it, it's another 40 to get under the belt, but I definately don't recommend ever drinking more than one. 4/10 swills.

IMT40s: This shit tasted like a diaper full of shrimp. I couldn't even finish it, I dumped about half of it out. Why I drank half of it? well I thought maybe, just maybe this bitch would get better with a little buzz.....HELL NO!!!! I rate Little Kings a 1 out of 10. I'm only giving it a 1 because Any beer in a 40 deserves at least a 1.

james: After being depressed the last month because my local Little Kings source dried up (no local distributors carry it), I found another source (while much too far away to regularly buy) that is providing my alcohol high tonight. I can't emphasize though how good this is. I am a malt freak normally. But I've also sampled all of the beers as well, and this just tastes GREAT. for your average malt 40 its weak (5.5%), but strong compared to normal beers. and in my opinion tastes MUCH better, especially compared to budweiser or busch alcohol-water. this is even after drinkin the warmish swill of a 40, in fact i think its just as good then. Im a true piece of shit drunk, and i would take this over a guaranteed buzz from OE or ides anyday. fucking incredible taste.

jimbone: my normal liquor store, Drugtown, started stocking Little Kings 40s, not too bad but really low buzz factor with the 5.5%.

JoeWebberlione: Shot out to my boy 64 for the hook up on this bitch. Nice crack, decent flavor & smell, reminds me alot of Private Stock. Not the best of the green 4's I've had but this shits still pretty legit. Packs a pretty good buzz too. I could see myself swillin this on the reg if it were more available. Although for green 4's I think I prefer Mickey's Ice, Ballentine & Rainer Ale. 8 out of 10 swills. Thanks again 64.

LMSCRacer: When I think of "Cream Ale," I immediately think Genesee Cream Ale (which I was raised on lol). This stuff is nothing like that.

What it did have was a surprising amount of hop taste, almost like a weaker (5.5 vs 7.2) version of Rainier Ale. Not sure about the "cream" part. Nice crack and hiss, good taste right to the swill (which was still cold since this is an easy 40 to put away quick). Weak buzz with 5.5 %ABC. In spite of the weakness, overall a solid 7/10 swills for good flavor.

MarkBlackout: Little Kings is a 40 I knew about in high school, and may have drank off of one or two back then. It's a "classic," as some would say. I bought this one for the collection, I wasn't that excited about it so I bought a pint of Grey Goose to hold me over for the night. As I drank the Goose I developed a craving for strange malt beverages. I opted to crack this bottle. In previous tastings I had noticed the strange particulate (almost smoke-like, suspended in the fluid) matter in Little Kings, but never paid it much mind. You shouldn't either, unless you get a stale sample this is a good 40! It has a unique hop presence absent in other well-distributed 40s. Buy and experience the hi/lo brow taste today! 7 out of 10 swills.

pman433: this stuff is ok dont even mention it in the same sentence as magnum. its been like 5 years since i had it but i remember everything

rage60oz: Damnit, I just got back from a three day track meet and ran straight for the fridge where my little kings cream ale was waiting for me. The first few swallows were pretty good nothing too terribly special though, not worth the thought of me thinking about this damn brew at the meet. i'll give it a swill rating of 5 just because i bought it at a brand new liquor store with that new smell and it was the cheapest brew in stock only a buck 75. Not bad for a 40 around here.

satan165: This isn't malt liquor but I got it anyways. Not excited to try it, I'm imagining what it will taste like. The flavor of beer or malt liquor is good enough for me; I don't need any 'cream' taste in there. Maybe something like Mickeys. Scored it at Wolf and Grand in Northlake.
This shit ain't nearly as bad as I thought it would be (at least taste wise). I don't know what the 'cream ale' shit is all about...I was right, this is similiar to Mickeys. It's also similar to some import I've had but can't put my finger on. Not bad at all, I wouldn't drink/buy it again but I'm pleasantly surprised, espically considering how much I thought this might suck. I drank this shit while watching the final episode of Dawson's Creek and crying like a baby. I wouldn't drink this again, but if I did all those memories of Jen dying would come flooding back and probably draw a tear to my eye. this is a 4 of 10, much too weak and useless to buy again. i think the name is kind of gay and i dont like its image. worthless. Buzz: C-, Taste: B-

sippin apache: Big up to Racer for sending this one.

Green small mouth 40, definitly my favorite type of 40's. Label looks old school, vintage.

The crack was loud and strong, then came a loud hiss followed by a burst of carbonation bubbles all the way to the top of the 40 that foamed up.

Taste was great, hops with a small watery aftertaste when the brew was real cold but faded as it got warmer. I had to pour some in a glass to see if it would produce head, and it did, a very rich creamy head(where the names becomes significant This is definitly a quality brew that I strongly recommend to anyone who hasnt tried it yet. Buzz factor was interesting, quick and effective. For addition #101 to the collection I give 9/10 swills

Tiger Tai: just got done drinking my 1st Little Kings(2:40am) and watching The Toxic Avenger. My bro drank one with me and I'm drinking my second one now. he's drinking a Camo... Thanks to 64 for hookin me up with Little Kings. In the beginning Little Kings had a strange minty/fruity taste to it. It was actually, in my opinion, similar to Private Stock or Mickey's. Somewhere in between those two. The swill when warm was not very pleasant, but then again what warm swill is pleasant. I've only gotten a slight buzz off this joint too. I'd rate Little Kings 6 of 10 Swills...
