Bruz: Like the other canadian OMs, this has that taste, but also the classic "strong bad malt" flavor as well. Drank this while devouring some scrambled eggs, sausage, english muffins, mixed nuts, & chocolate chip cookies. Sugar + Salt + Malt = Good. This 40 got worse as it got warmer, mos def. Swill's pretty harsh. Buzz is slight. Overall 5/10 swills... there's better "biere extra fortes" than this. It's the same thing as Old Milwaukee Black (just a name change) which at the time I drank that I rated 7/10, so it was just an overall better experience then than now I guess. Just shows how time/setting/mood may affect your tastes. Now this one didn't impress me as much as the 'Black' then did, for whatever reasons. Thanks out to nitz011 for this! |

7/02/08 d07c0m: Found this in the last place I'd expect to find it, a shitty little town in backwoods Quebec called Kazabazua.
It was the last one in the cooler. They also had Black Bull and around 12 other 40s. |

RowdyAssDrunk: This is an American Malt, that is only availiable in Quebec. (as far as I know) As said, unlike most 40's exclusive to Quebec, this definately has more of a malt liquor taste than a strong beer taste. Pretty nice. For some reason, this shit seems to get warm really quickly. I'm already buzzed so I dont care. The warmer stuff doesn't seem to taste that much worse than the cold stuff though. It just tastes "acceptable" throughout. This is some OK shit. Taste is not great, but at 9% it packs a decent buzz. I give it 7/10, mainly for buzz factor. |

sippin apache: A definite classic. Found a stash of em earlier this week(hadnt seen it in a good while) It's a clear widemouth 40, my second favorite format after the small mouth clear. Loud hiss and ultra carbonated. This is the same brew as OM Black but distributed in a different name and label. Just that in itself is pretty cool. Taste very smooth when ice cold for a 9% but requires rapid consumption as it gets pretty raunchy when it warms up. Crisp taste stays carbonated the whole time and a kick ass buzz factor. Makes the 1% gap between Colt 45 and this look like the grand canyon. 8/10 stars for a ultra strong brew althought not one to sipp on the reg because it will rapidly make anything else feel like unpotent. |
