Bruz: 8.5%: This uncommon Canadian 40 initially reminded me of Magnum due to its flavor (which is NOT a compliment). Later on it reminded me more of Camo... but of course "later on" means when it started to get warm, and if you have ever had warm Camo you'd know that is NOT a compliment either. I drank this imperfect 40 while watching Friday the 13th Part III & eating some potato chips. Decent buzz thankfully, cuz like I said it did get warm quick, so the buzz at least helped me grin & bear it. The swill was horrendous. Definite urine. Overall 4/10 swills, and it's only that high cuz it's a cool looking & uncommon 40. Thanks out to Sgt JMo & Dirty D for these!

4/19/09 d07c0m: Friend of mine hooked this up for me from Alberta. New brown glass long-neck style bottle with smoking babe on the front. Note: it's not a silhouette, it's a photo that's been made black and white!

I cracked this not know what to expect. Smells inoffesnsive and clean. First swig was puzzling, I didn't know what to think and was had no idea what to compare it to. By the time I reached the label it was clear that this was a relative to Axe Head and actually tastes slightly like a smoother, watered-down version of said brew. I really fucking liked this brew, "Extra Smooth" is no lie. I took my time with this, drinking it over about 30 minutes or so but it's really easy to pound. I can imagine drinking two of theses back to back with 0 complaints.

Fresh taste, good flavour, very unique label and bottle for Canada. If I had this by me I'd take it over OE 8% easily (shocking!). Minhas/Mountain Creek Brewing/damngoodbeer.ca make some quality booze!

This 40 gets a Perfect 10 in my book!

AK40seven: My first impression was this is a full-bodied malty liquor with a smooth taste, no sharp alcohol or bitterness greeted me. Halfway through I was slowing down and it was warming up, but it was still pleasantly mild for a 8.5%. The buzz factor was less than I thought it would be. Overall I would give this one a 8.5

Big John: we have your perfect 10 and Axehead, from Mountain crest brewing. Maybe they import it from somewhere? These can be among the smoothest 40's around. Warm or cold, they go down sweet. However, my local place runs out fast and I have to rely on other 40's to keep me going. You may not be able to get 'em in the US yet, but maybe if you make a run up to Canada. You'll know Perfect 10 by the lady on the label. That's 8.6%. Axehead is 11% and good to go.That's right, 11% ! sez so right on the label If you can't get Black bull, get this, and you won't be sorry. Kinda the same sweet flavor allround, smooth for sure, unlike Black label 10% which is, IMO, pretty nasty but gets you lit up. satan165: This shit is good. Real Good. Trying to figure out how they can put 8.5% in a 40 and not make it taste shitty like a Camo. This tastes fine. I even jepordized my chances: I had this 40 chilling warm and threw it in the fridge tonite for a future drank. I decided to drank it tonite anyways, about 25% in it was getting warm as it wasn't completely chilled. I threw it in the freezer for 10 minutes. Now I've got about 75% done, and this 40 rocks. I'm already gettin' bent and it tastes good. I love the label, I never before noticed the hot bitch chillin in the background of the label, behind the text. Has a nicebit of foam, swill is getting a bit rough. But this shit is potent. I drank the nasty wide mouth Crazy Horse (or some of it before I dumped the bitch) and this gives me new appreciation for the small mouth. With the small mouth you can control your drank, let it bubble up. I like that, thats the point of drankin a 40 to me. That Crazy Horse was so nasty last night that I thought I must have lost my taste for 40s. The Perfect 10 is damn near that. Buzz: A-, Taste: B+
