Bruz: Thanks out to Tesguino & Rodolfo for the bottles! Technically, you're not allowed to ship glass out of Mexico, so I'm lucky to even have received it empty! |

LMSCRacer: I'll start with saying I'm not a big fan of most Mexican Beers so I wasn't expecting too much. Reading the label and seeing that this is 3.7% ABV really set the bar low for expectations. You better have an opener (or at least a good belt buckle) handy as this comes with a crown cap, not a twist off. Carefully opening the bottle, the hiss was weak. Much to my surprise, the taste wasn't. For a very low ABV beer, this had a decent taste that went down easy. I even poured a small sample into a glass to see what it looked like. It actually has a decent amber color (not yellow like some popular Mexican Imports). As I was swilling it down eating pizza and watching some TV, I could visualize the scene in the parking lot of some Mexican C-Store. Decent enough carbonation the whole way. Even the still cool swill was ok. This is certainly better than something like BL or Coors Lights. The label being entirely in Spanish (25% Mas y Hecho en Mexico!) is a nice touch.
For all the above, I rate it a solid 7/10 swills. ![]() |
