Bruz: The Cat at first didn't taste too great. But as I went on with it, I started to enjoy it more. The swill wasn't very tasty, but what do you expect with swill? Had the typical malt liquor flavor that you're all familiar with by now, so the overall rating is 6/10 swills... I'm really surprised though, cuz the nearly identical "Wild Cat" was one of my all-time favorites... maybe it's the same stuff, and there were other factors that led me to not like it as much? Thanks out to Tiger Tai, satan165, & ImissMy64oz for these bottles!

Buzzcore: It was hard to make heads or tails out of this 40. The first sip tasted very bland and very generic. But as I drank more, I liked it more. No, I wasn't drunk........ it just had a stronger malt taste is all. Tasted a little like Colt 45 Double Malt, but no where near as smooth. Would I try it again? Yes. Do I think it's an awesome 40? No. I'll give it a 5/10, mostly because the label is totally dope. If you can find it, just buy it and try it.

satan165: this 40 taught me an important lesson. i dont think you can really rare a 40 fairly unless you drink it at least 3 times. this 40 really proved that to me.

when i drank wild cat (only once) a long time ago i remembered it as having a 'preimum' type taste. by that i mean that it wasnt a bad taste, and it wasnt a neutral malt taste either...it had something unique in there that was good. i remembered as tasting like a bull ice hg....but then again, i only had that once so theres no way to know.

anyways, i expected this would be very similar if not exactly the same. i dont believe that this 'the cat' is skunked or flat...but its a 'dirty' malt flavor....its not fresh or sharp on your tongue, its kind of a taste that covers your tounge, like a warm malt (although this is plenty cold right now).

in conclusion, the cat is not very good. but i remembered wild cat being above average. so was my original wild cat review unfairly positive? is this one (the cat) unfairly bad? is this 'the cat' skunked and i cant tell? all these questions are based on the assumption that these 40s should be the same, and maybe that is my flaw -- that they are actually quite different. Buzz: C+ Taste: C
