Bruz: Thanks out to Tesguino for the bottle! Technically, you're not allowed to ship glass out of Mexico, so I'm lucky to even have received it empty! I went out & bought a 6-pack and took 3 out at the same time, so that this review would be as close to drinking the actual 40 of this as possible, without living in Mexico. This has a very clean, crisp taste with the slightest hint of spice to it (like an IPA/ale spice, not a cinnamon spice). A good brew but tastes weak - a little too watery & low in alcohol. Eating some greek style orange roughy fish (made w/ feta cheese, onions, capers, yogurt & lemon peel) & a side of brown rice with this. The XX goes well with it, but this is the kind of beer that would go well with any kind of foodage. I finished my meal & am at the end of the 2nd brew, and the beer flavor is mixing with the flavors of the food... so imagine an onion beer! Now I'm finishing off the 3rd with some Nutter Butter cookies dipped generously in Betty Crocker icings (alternating between the dark chocolate & the creamy white). I'm so fat it's disgusting. Even though I'm not fat. But being fat isn't about how much you weigh, it's a mindset. That being said, I'm one of the fattest people alive. Easy swill. When drank real fast you can get a slight buzz. No peeing during it. Assume the missing 4 ounces (3 12oz beers = 36oz) were poured out for my dead homies. Overall, 6.5/10 swills! NOTE: This brew was made in 1897 to commemorate the beginning of the "XX" century! |
