Maximus Super  Maximus Super is a discontinued malt liquor produced by F.X. Matt Brewing Co., also known as Saranac Brewery. It was a stronger version of Maximus, weighing in at 8.9% ABV. An old advertisement for Maximus Super reads "Maximus Super is not an ale or a malt liquor. Yet it's very different from ordinary beer. One can and you'll know just how different Maximus Super really is. You'll also know how we arrived at its name." On the ad is a picture of a 12oz can of it, without the words "Malt Liquor" on the can.
