Interested in advertising on 40ozMaltLiquor.com? Contact me. 4/15/08: I'm all caught up (again) with updating the site! New 40s added to the Archive, 40oz Crew photos, additions to the Images & Media sections, MySpace Crew photos, etc! 4/14/08: New 40oz Crew photo gallery up, with pics & videos from last month's semi-annual Meeting of the Minds! 4/11/08: All 40oz Review links are fixed - both in the 40oz Archive and within the Index thread on the forum! And while fixing the links, I also added lots of new reviews that were posted by 40oz Crew over the past 3 months! 3/22/08: Haven't posted an update in awhile, sorry fellow swillas! A belated congrats to brooks79Z, newest moderator on the 40oz Crew forum! In even bigger news (sorry brooks lol) is last weekend (Thurs 3/13 - Sun 3/16) the 40oz Crew tore up Long Island, NYC, & New Brunswick NJ (No Redeeming Social Value show)! It was 3 nights of pure 100% grade-A belligerence, and I'll report back when photos and videos have been posted to the website! Speaking of videos, 40ozMaltLiquorTV has been on fire since it's creation, with over 100 videos already on it! The theme has been expanded to also allow for 40oz Crew meeting videos, so take a look to see some of last weekend's drunken mess caught on film (I'm the guy in the giant beer bottle costume dancing in the moshpit at the NRSV show)! 11/19/07: New section to the website added - 40ozMaltLiquorTV! It was the idea of Montreal 40oz Crew member nitz011 & implemented by satan165. The general theme is to kill a 40 of your choosing in under 10 minutes & talk about whatever during it. It's not a race, just a time limit. 10/3/07: I got married on 9/22 and returned a couple nights ago from our honeymoon in Kauai (where I drank some cool hawaiian brews)! The 40oz King finally has his queen! 9/17/07: New profile added - the Horror Drunx! 8/17/07: Last weekend's Meeting of the Minds was pure classic. Check out the photo gallery!
8/8/07: It's been a big week in the 40oz scene! First off, this coming weekend (Fri 8/10-Sun 8/12) is the 4th Annual 40oz Crew Meeting of the Minds! This year it is being held in Seaside Heights, NJ... Jersey shore stylezz! As usual, crew from all over the US & Canada will be getting together for a weekend of straight-up belligerence. Beers, sands, waves, bikinis, alcohols, and greasy foods will be abundant. The crew's got rooms booked at the Boardwalk Seaport Inn, a little hotel overhanging the boardwalk. You'll know us when you see us, and when you see us buy us some drinks! Now for some more cool news... 2 MORE COUNTRIES DISCOVERED TO HAVE 40s: Argentina & Guatemala! That brings the total to 6 countries (USA, Canada, Mexico, & Australia being the other 4... although I only know of Australia having had just one). The brands from Argentina are 4 Antares brands: Barley Wine, Imperial Stout, Porter, & Scotch Ale. The brands from Guatemala are Gallo Dark, Gallo Draft, Gallo Ice, & Gallo Light. I am currently striking a deal for all 8 bottles, from my mexican connection, who recently got them for me while on a business trip there! Speaking of my mexican connection, he unearthed some more new 40s previously unknown to me: Sol Cero (the 1st non-alcoholic "beer" 40), Sol Light, Estrella (old & new labels), Carta Blanca (Expo Guadalupe), Cosaco Negra, Cosaco Roja, & Tropical Light! And finally, I've added 12 bottles to my collection this past week... 2 Coors Light canadian variants, the new Genesee label, and 9 more mexican 40s: Chihuahua, Superior, Victoria (old label), Montejo (old label), Leon (old label), Carta Blanca Exquisita, Minerva Colonial, Minerva Stout, & Minerva Viena. 5/10/07: Discovered a previously unknown (to me) 40oz of old... Stag. Photo in the Archive. Bottle coming soon to my collection! 4/27/07: Added another 24 mexican 40s to the collection: Caballero Aguila, Cañón del Cobre, Cañón del Huajuco, Cañón la Huasteca, Chipinque, Corona Familiar, Corona Light, Dos Equis Lager, El Fraile, El Mirador, Horus (world's strongest @ 12% alc/vol), Las Cumbres, La Silla, Matacanes, Modelo Especial, Modelo Light, Montejo (new label), Navidad, Obispado, Octoberfest, Olinalá, Sierra Dorada, Sierra Madre, & Sierra Madre Light! 4/16/07: Added 11 more mexican 40s to my collection (and surpassed 500 total bottles!) - Bohemia, Carta Blanca, Dos Equis Ambar, Leon, Montejo, Negra Modelo, Noche Buena, Regio, Regio Light, Tecate, & Tropical! I'll be striking a deal with my mexican connection for another 24 bottles soon... 4/6/07: I just added 10 mexican 40s to my collection: Casta, Pacífico, Victoria, Kloster, Kloster Light, Tijuana Güera, Tijuana Morena, Tijuana Light, Indio (variant), & Sol Brava (variant)! Check out the Archive ("The 40s") to see photos & info on each. I also have 11 more mexican 40s on the way, with another 14-15 after that... cuz that's how I roll! 3/31/07: Mountain Crest/Minhas Craft Brewery announces a new upcoming 40oz: Kick Axe! 3/27/07: This updates box should be working correctly on Firefox, Opera & Safari now... hopefully anyway. 3/22/07: Got this new "updates" box here, which rules, but apparently it only looks right in Internet Explorer. So if you're using Firefox/Opera - stop it. Also, there are now currently 4 features in the new Profiles section: No Redeeming Social Value (NYHC band sponsored by OE800), Bobby Mason (from Survivor: Panama), Alfred "Coach" Powell (an anti-40oz activist), & Mistaforty (40 influenced rapper)... and coming soon: The Horror Drunx! 3/13/07: Website is finished. Profiles section is up & running (currently with 2 featured profiles, soon to be 4-5). YO ADRIAN! I DID IT!!! 3/12/07: After thousands of man-hours spread over many years, I am finally 99% finished with my website. All the reviews are updated, all photos present & accounted for, and everything is formatted the way I want it. The ONLY thing I have left to do (besides keeping it updated with new reviews & pics as I get em) is get the new Profiles section up & running. It's going to be a Q&A (& pics of) certain people/groups who are into 40s. That is now coming VERY soon, as it was the last thing on my to-do list! What the future holds... |
