Mistaforty hails from the streets of Washington D.C. and has been a regular guest on The Don & Mike radio show. He'll be appearing in the upcoming film "Hood Related", and his music has been played over the radio waves. His new album, "Open Bar", is due out in June 2007.

Bruz: When & how did Mistaforty get into the rap game?
Mistaforty: Man, my earliest memory is grade school lunchtime free stylin while the class did the beat on their desk... pep rallys and shows all through highschool... just always rhymin. Dropped "2001 Bottles Of Beer On the Wall" in '01 and sold 2000 copies, freestylin on radio shows, battlin' on U St. and in Ciphers... a little of everything I guess.

B: I first heard of you on The Don & Mike Show. What was Don & Mike's interest in 40s?
Mr40: I called in one day feelin good and I say somethin stupid like you guys are damn funny and they asked my name. Course I said 40, they said "why?", and I said cuz I drink 40s - they laffin and Mike goes "are you drinkin one now?" and I say yeah. He says "what kind?" and of course I'm brown baggin it so he hears the bag as I'm pullin it out and dies laffin. I say COlt 45 I think... either that or OE... I think it was Colt though and they die laffin again. Then I say imma bring em 40s the next day they say ok and we're all like aight bye. So I actually take them in and drop em off to Lisa and on the way home I hear em on the radio like you gotta come back and sit in with us one day. I did and the rest is.....

B: Does your music have any influences?
Mr40: Yeah, alchohol in more ways than one.

B: What made you so passionate about 40s that you named yourself after em & wrote several tracks about em?
Mr40: Two things. All my career I've always switched names alot... Mc Ice (haha), Treacherous MC (then Treach of Naughty By Nature came out), Anon (short for anonymous) to name a few. And when I had to get serious of course I realized that wasn't gonna work. And people started to call me that (Mista 40) cuz I always drank em. If someone was goin to tha store they knew to get me a 40.

B: Tell us about one of your most crunked 40oz moments.
Mr40: I don't know that's tuff, I probably don't remember it haha. The coolest one was signin 40 bottles in Reno with Don and Mike... the worst one is a road rage incident, I should probably just leave it at that.

I guess the crunkest 40 moment was when I first held up a beer, said put ya cups up, and the crowd was goin "40! 40! 40!"... that shit was what made it official haha...

B: What's your favorite 40 & why?
Mr40: I don't have one, that's how it got to 40 and not Mista Red Bull or Mista Private Stock. My rule when I walk in the store is the first one I see, I buy.... If I had to pick one to die with it would just have to be a cold one.

B: You swillin right now?
Mr40: Haha I'd already finished an OE and was sippin on some Jack.
